Part-Time Assistant Baseball Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION

Newberry College (NCAA D2) seeks qualified applicants part-time assistant Baseball Coach. The selected candidate will help ensure the program operates and conducts itself within the ideals, goals, rules, and regulations set forth by Newberry College. This position reports directly to the Head Baseball Coach. The successful candidate provides leadership, organization, supervision, instruction, and strategic planning for the Wolves baseball program.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Create an atmosphere that emphasizes the student-athlete experience.
• Construct a plan to ensure academic success and personal development of student-athletes.
• Meet recruiting and retention goals.
• Ensure each student-athlete has a pathway towards graduation.
• Identify, evaluate, and recruit academically prepared student-athletes in accordance with college policy and NCAA regulations.
• Establish an effective communication plan with student-athletes.
• All other duties as assigned by the Head Baseball Coach.

EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Requirements include a bachelor's degree, and previous baseball coaching or playing experience is preferred. This is a part-time position.
