POSITION: Part-Time Academic Instructor (Plumbing)
LOCATION: NDSCS Fargo, North Dakota Career Innovation Center
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, non-benefited position

JOB SUMMARY: The Adjunct Plumbing Instructor supports accelerated plumbing workforce training at the Career Innovation Center by delivering instruction focused on practical skills, code awareness, and jobsite readiness. This role is well suited for licensed plumbers seeking to share industry expertise and support workforce development.
Instructional Delivery:
Face-to-face instruction
Future curriculum will expand to hands-on lab components
Flexible scheduling aligned to instructor availability and program needs
Minimum Requirements
Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
Industry experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing
Appropriate plumbing licensure, certifications, or credentials relevant to instruction (degree preferred but not required)
Commitment to teaching and learning in a two-year, workforce-focused college environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in a collaborative instructional environment
Basic proficiency with instructional technology
Willingness to support accelerated, competency-based programming
Journeyman
Preferred Qualifications
Journeyman or Master Plumber license (North Dakota, Minnesota, or equivalent)
Teaching, training, or mentoring experience
Experience supporting adult learners or non-traditional students
Additional Information
PAY RATE: Current NDSCS adjunct pay rate (calculated per credit taught, currently $1,099/credit)
DATE AVAILABLE: As arranged
