Part-Time 4K Teacher Aide

HAYWARD PRIMARY SCHOOL 4 YEAR-OLD KINDERGARTEN TEACHER AIDE

The Hayward Community School District is accepting applications for a Part-time 4-Year-Old

Kindergarten Teacher Aide Position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Athletic and Co-Curricular positions are available.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• 2 years of college or an Associate Degree
• Work experience with early childhood/elementary school-age children
• Experience working successfully with teams of colleagues
• Strong communication skills
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Must have organizational skills and be self-motivated
• Understand the developmental stages of the four-year-old child and developmentally appropriate

practices

• Organize the classroom environment to support learning through play with materials that are

organized and available for use by children.

• Assist in planning and implementing parent meetings, special programs and outreach events to

support the Hayward Community Schools 4K parent outreach activities.

• Work effectively with all children and their families, including DLL and special needs

children.

• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents and the

community.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

WORK SCHEDULE: Family friendly Calendar - Monday-Friday. 29 hours per week RATE OF PAY: $16.93/hr.
