Description
The City of Sioux City is seeking very energetic fifteen (15) Parks & Recreation Attendants to provide primary customer service in our Parks & Recreation Department. Attendants are in constant interaction with the public.
Successful candidates will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day operations at Riverside Pool. Tasks include assisting with daily pool operations and the upkeep of recreational facilities. This includes providing customer service, setting up and tearing down for events, cleaning and maintaining the facility, assisting the public, and performing other duties as assigned.
Employees in this position are expected to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Employees must be willing to work evening and weekend hours; hours may vary from day to day.

Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment: Work is equally performed outdoors year-round, and inside a recreation facility environment with appropriate heating and cooling and is subject to potential occupational or environmental hazards commonly associated with working in outdoor recreation. Must be able to perform work in the evenings and on weekends.
Examples of outdoor field conditions include varying weather conditions, with varying street level noises; and touring work sites that are in various stages of development.
