Park Maintenance Leadworker
Salary range: $91,329.06 - $111,232.02 annually (Cost of living increase will be added in August)
What you will do:
Under general supervision, the Park Maintenance Lead Worker participates in the operation of the City''s park maintenance program. This leadership position oversees the maintenance, safety, and appearance of the City of Burlingame''s parks, landscaped areas, and recreational facilities while coordinating daily operations and leading a parks maintenance team. The successful candidate will assign and supervise work, ensure compliance with safety standards, department policies, and City ordinances, and monitor the maintenance of irrigation systems, playgrounds, sports fields, trees, and park amenities. Responsibilities also include inspecting facilities, coordinating equipment maintenance, monitoring contractor performance, responding to public inquiries and service requests, and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The role works closely with the Parks Supervisor and Superintendent to evaluate operations, plan projects, recommend service improvements, and may serve as acting Parks Supervisor when needed. Success in this position requires strong leadership, sound decision-making, effective communication, and the ability to build positive working relationships with employees, City departments, contractors, community organizations, and the public.
