Job Description and Duties

PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST - BOATING AND WATERWAYS DIVISION / GRANTS AND LOANS UNIT

Would you like to see the impact of your hard work and help us improve recreational boating access, provide safety education, and keep California's waterways clean? If so, the Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) Grants and Loans unit is seeking a Park and Recreation Specialist to support its team of grant and loan project managers.

The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. This position will work under the close supervision of the Staff Services Manager I to support these important programs. Our location has many great amenities including, on-site cafe, local eateries and fitness center; public transit including suburban bus lines, transit incentives, public parking and more. The Park and Recreation Specialist performs a variety of analytical and administrative support functions which include preparing grant agreements, contracts, and correspondence, updating tracking systems, working in FI$Cal, updating online grant software programs and webpages, and scoring grant applications.

This position requires that the incumbent maintain regular consistent, predictable attendance, exercise good judgment, and follow federal, State, and Department regulations, policies, procedures, and processes in carrying out his/her work.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.
