Position Summary:
Facilitates in-home, evidence-based parenting classes and coached visitations referred by the Niagara County Department of Social Services. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains and manages a reasonable case load.
- Conducts intakes of parents referred to the Parent Partners program by Niagara County DSS.
- Facilitates individual, in-home, evidence-based parenting education classes.
- Provides supervised visitation, based on the coached visitation model, for parents who have had their children removed from their care due to abuse and/or neglect.
- Ensures completion of appropriate paperwork for record keeping and billing daily.
- Prepares billing for finance as required.
- Coordinates maintenance of database of participant information.
- Writes monthly progress reports for NCDSS and courts.
- Seeks to engage families through a strengths-based lens with the ultimate goal of reunification.
- Works with Finance department on policies and procedures.
- Works with Parent Partner Supervisor to maintain reporting requirements, data entry, evaluation forms, and other contract requirements.
- Reports participant attendance to inquiring sites ensuring a valid release of information form is on file.
- Reviews assessments and refers parents to other agencies
- Identifies appropriate resources for parents as needed.
- Grows a network of resources for participants by connecting with other community agencies.
- Communicates with supervising manager/director to maintain safety of participants, facilitators and staff.
- Provides follow up support after parents have completed the program(s)
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience, Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience or Master’s Degree and one (1) year of experience in Human Services.
- Case management, in-home visitation or coached visitation experience.
- Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Experience working with NCDSS and Connections system preferred.
- Available on a flexible schedule based on program requirements, including evenings and weekends.
- Mandated Reporter Certification (EPIC will provide).
- Trauma Informed Care (EPIC will provide).

- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes possible evenings and weekends (dependent upon case needs).
