Paraprofessional / Instructional Aide (K–12)

2026–2027 School Year
Location: Forest Park, Illinois

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support to students in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
  • Assist teachers with implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
  • Support students with classroom assignments, projects, and learning goals.
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with behavior management and classroom routines.
  • Support students with social-emotional development and peer interactions.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to classroom staff.
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and administrative tasks.
  • Provide supervision during transitions, lunch, recess, field trips, and other school activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and administrators to support student success.
  • Follow all district policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or paraprofessional certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Experience supporting students with special education needs is a plus.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and district onboarding requirements.
