Job Summary and Qualifications What you should expect to do in this role:

• Establish IV access as delegated by a RN. • Provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens, and supplies, cleaning and stocking the department, patient rooms, and transport ambulance, other duties as assigned. • Perform intra facility transport. • Your job will perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. • Support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assist with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery. • Answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments as needed. • Maintain records, transcribe physician orders, and assure orders are carried out in an expeditious manner.

Qualifications You will need for this role:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. • Current certification and licensure as a Paramedic per state requirements. • High School Diploma. • Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital. • Current clinical competency must be demonstrated, and additional education and training may be required. • Ability to routinely multi-task in a busy, stressful, fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. • Current certification and licensure as a Paramedic or EMT-A (Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced) per state requirements.
