POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Paralegal works with the Legal Department staff on all legal and compliance matters as assigned by the General Counsel. The Corporate Paralegal/Litigation and Employment Law is a person qualified through education, training or work experience to assist in managing legal processes, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate would be detailed oriented and possess strong organizational, research and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assists internal and external counsel in managing litigation matters, including discovery, case management, and trial preparation.
- Assists in responding to subpoenas, demand letters, and other legal requests from regulatory agencies.
- Conducts complex legal research, drafts high stakes findings, and summarizes findings related to employment law and litigation.
- Prepares and reviews legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, position statements, and internal policies based on changes in the law and regulations.
- Maintains and organizes case files, legal databases, and document repositories.
- Coordinates with HR, Compliance, Security and other departments on employment-rela and just asked me to process theted legal issues, including investigations, compliance, and training.
- Manages deadlines and ensures timely filings and responses.
- Assists with risk assessments related to employment practices and litigation exposure.
- Analyzes legal documents to provide relevant information.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or certificate from ABA-approved paralegal school.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience as a Paralegal in a corporate office or law firm environment.
- Must have experience focused on litigation and employment law.
- Previous corporate healthcare experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management systems.Must have knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software programs
- Keen discretion and professionalism in maintaining confidential information
- Management of competing priorities independently.
- Knowledge of e-discovery platforms and legal software, preferred.
