Paralegal
New Mexico Legal Aid (NMLA) provides civil legal services to low-income New Mexicans to promote family and economic stability, helping clients access food, shelter, security, and to preserve their unique cultural heritages. NMLA has locations throughout the state, including Santa Ana Pueblo, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Gallup, Roswell, Silver City, and Taos.
The Paralegal will provide litigation and administrative support to attorneys serving low-income clients across a range of civil legal matters. This role supports work in areas such as housing, domestic violence, consumer protection, family law, public benefits, and other areas of law based on community need and program priorities.
The Paralegal plays a key role in supporting client services by assisting with case development, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure cases move forward efficiently. This position involves regular client interaction and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to client-centered service.
This position is located in our Santa Fe office and reports to the Northern Managing Attorney and will work closely with the Litigation Director.
The Paralegal will provide services through a combination of client support, case coordination, and administrative assistance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
This role requires flexibility and adaptability, as priorities and case needs may shift based on client demand. The Paralegal is an integral part of the legal team and contributes directly to improving access to justice for low-income New Mexicans.

Company Benefits:
Salary: $49,077.55 - $70,232.52 DOE.
