Job Details
Assist and provide a range of legal administrative support to the real estate attorney(s) in the Legal Department, and, on a "as-needed" basis, to other attorneys and staff in the Legal Department, with primary responsibility for Catholic Health (CH) commercial real estate matters, including leases, licenses and sessional (part-time license) agreements, acquisitions, and yearly property tax exemption filings with the various Long Island counties, towns, and villages.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor degree, Associate degree and certificate program in paralegal studies.
Skills: Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; detail-oriented and able to work independently; exceptional organizational and verbal and written communication skills; strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, in particular, leasing transactions, title, acquisitions, dispositions; ability to review, organize and track real estate files; proactive work ethic and team mentality. Must be able to work in a high-paced environment handling multiple tasks at the same time; and must maintain confidentiality of legal and business information at all times.
Experience: Knowledge of real estate legal terminology and experience in preparing drafts of lease agreements and other real- property related documents. Real estate transactional experience either in a law firm or in-house setting for at least three (3) years.
Physical Requirements: Position is moderate and will require sitting for long periods of time interspersed with walking to and from various locations. Excellent verbal and listening skills required for communicating clearly and effectively with others. Ability to bend, stretch, reach, handle/finger delicate items required. Ability to carry files up to 5 lbs. Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential physical demands.
Salary Range
USD $32.00 - USD $41.00 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
