The Paralegal supports the Legal department in the administration of contracts and risk management matters. Assists in drafting and reviewing contracts and facilitates their internal review and approval, while serving as the principal liaison between Legal and the various business units. Provides support for attorneys in drafting legal documents and regulatory compliance (FCPA) matters, assists with technical aspects of e-discovery, and provides administrative support for the department in key areas. This position is also responsible for obtaining data for insurance policy quotes and renewals and assists in processing insurance claims. This role also assists with requests from internal clients and third parties regarding our insurance program and requirements; and is responsible for issuing and reviewing Certificates of Insurance.
Specific Responsibilities:Risk Management· Assist with assembly of data for insurance renewals and policy issuance. Coordinate with brokers and carriers to ensure timely renewals. · Assist in processing and filing insurance claims. · Assist in preparing annual budgets; track payments against budgets; process invoices for timely payment. · Organize and maintain insurance policy files. · Arrange the issuance of Certificates of Insurance. |
General Administrative· Properly code and process legal invoices for payment. Create and maintain legal fee database. Reconcile and compile financial reports by area of law and business cost centers. · Prepare and update quarterly legal report documents and other routine or custom reports for General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel to use in advising Executive Management and Accounting. · Provide support for attorneys in drafting and revising legal documents and preparing presentations. · Maintain tracking process for Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) certifications. · Assist in maintenance of department’s electronic matter management system and internal company webpage. |
Contract Administration· Principal liaison within the company for most contracts. · Track and file contracts and legal documents. · Review and draft contracts using approved forms. |
E-Discovery· Assist with technical aspects of e-discovery. |
