- Minimum of 1+ years of Paralegal experience required; workers' comp and tort litigation experience preferred.
- High school diploma required; some college coursework and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word.
- Experience with Clio or other legal case management software preferred.
- Familiarity with Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation ICMS system preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Ability to produce accurate, detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Manage workers’ compensation and tort litigation case files.
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, and opposing counsel via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Draft and submit Workers’ Compensation Board forms through the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation Integrated Claims Management System (ICMS).
- Assist with tort litigation matters, including personal injury and insurance defense cases.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, medical appointments, and court appearances.
- Request, review, and organize medical records and other case-related documents.
- Maintain attorney calendars and litigation deadlines.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and file management.
- Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
