Job Summary Major Duties: • Works with general supervision to prepare materials and set up special education classrooms for training and instruction. • Participates and assists in lesson planning and carrying out supervisor assigned tasks to reinforce instruction and/or tutor students. • Performs a wide variety of related tasks to assist and care for students with moderate to severe educational needs.
Requirements & Qualifications • Requires the perception and ability to foster student development in an assigned special education program. • High School diploma or recognized equivalent. • Passage of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Instructional Assistant Competency test.
Condition of Employment • Employees are required to submit to a Department of Justice background check. • Provide proof of freedom from tuberculosis and vaccination of Measles.
