Job Description
Our client is seeking a Paraeducator to support teachers and students in the classroom, with a focus on assisting students with diverse learning and developmental needs. This role involves working one-on-one and in small groups, providing hands-on support, and helping create a positive and structured learning environment. The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and passionate about working with children.

Key ResponsibilitiesStudent Support

  • Assist students with learning activities and skill development directed by the teacher

  • Provide support to students with physical and/or developmental disabilities

  • Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instruction

  • Assist with personal care needs when necessary
Classroom & Instructional Support

  • Help prepare instructional materials and organize learning centers

  • Support classroom management and student engagement

  • Assist with record keeping and documentation
Supervision & Collaboration

  • Supervise students during drills, assemblies, recess, and field trips

  • Work closely with teachers and special education staff to support student needs

  • Maintain professionalism and composure in a variety of situations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Basic knowledge of child development and ability to work with children

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with staff and parents

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment

  • Computer proficiency preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete Project Para training (provided) unless 48 college credit hours have been completed

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
