Hourly Rate: $36.95/hour position SC7ParaEd26-27.pdf) (is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763 which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).

Job Summary:

Paraeducator Support Specialists provide specialized assistance and resources for special education students across the District. They provide training and support for district paraeducators, special education instructors, and other school teams. Paraeducator Support Specialists may also provide direct support to students using positive behavioral interventions and strategies. Paraeducator Support Specialists report to Special Services Directors.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Associate's degree (AA) or higher OR two (2) years of college coursework equivalent to 72 quarter credits OR an passing score (score of 461 or higher) on the Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment; Official documentation will be required upon hire.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Must complete de-escalation training upon hire.

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess valid Washington State driver's license.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred.
