Foundry AI Platform Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Foundry AI Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise data, analytics, and AI solutions built on the Palantir Foundry platform. This individual will play a key role in developing scalable data models, enabling AI-driven business capabilities, and ensuring the platform remains secure, reliable, and optimized for enterprise use. Working closely with business leaders and technology teams, the engineer will transform complex business challenges into production-ready data products and applications that improve operational performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Palantir Foundry Development

• Design, develop, and maintain ontology-based data models within Palantir Foundry to support operational reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Build scalable applications, workflows, and data products that align with business objectives and enterprise standards.
• Develop reusable components and implementation patterns that improve platform adoption and long-term maintainability.

AI & Data Engineering

• Build AI-enabled applications and analytics solutions using Python, SQL, PySpark, and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize enterprise data pipelines that integrate multiple business systems into actionable insights.
• Support AI and machine learning initiatives focused on forecasting, operational efficiency, and performance optimization.

Platform Administration & Operations

• Assist with the administration and ongoing support of the Palantir Foundry platform to ensure stability, performance, and reliability.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, and support deployment and release activities.
• Ensure platform configurations align with enterprise security, governance, and access management standards.

Analytics & Business Partnership

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational workflows and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, business opportunities, and operational improvements.
• Deliver intuitive, user-focused applications that support enterprise decision-making and improve business processes.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise standards for data quality, governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, development standards, and implementation best practices.
• Promote scalable architecture, reusable development patterns, and continuous platform improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Three or more years of hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions within the Palantir Foundry platform.
• Experience building enterprise data, analytics, or AI-driven applications in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; experience with PySpark and TypeScript is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience working collaboratively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills supporting enterprise production environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting analytics or AI initiatives within manufacturing, retail, consumer products, logistics, healthcare, or other complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with platform administration, monitoring, and operational support of enterprise data or analytics platforms.
• Experience working within cloud-based data platforms and SaaS environments.
• Certifications related to Palantir Foundry, cloud technologies, data engineering, analytics, or AI are a plus.
