Description

Summary

EVen Better Collision is Charleston's home for modern and EV collision repair. We're looking for a Paint Technician who treats every car like a canvas and every finish like a signature.

This isn't an assembly line. It's a craft. If you're the painter who spots the orange peel from three feet away, who lives for a perfect blend, and who takes pride in your work long after the car leaves the booth, we want to meet you.

The Role

You bring vehicles back to factory finish, and then some.

  • Mix, match, and apply paint to OEM color and finish standards
  • Prep, prime, base, clear, and blend with precision
  • Work fast without cutting corners. Flow beats hurry.
  • Inspect every panel before it leaves your booth
  • Collaborate with body technicians and the production team to keep the schedule moving
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe booth and equipment
What You Bring
  • Auto collision paint experience required
  • Strong color theory and blending skills
  • Familiarity with modern waterborne and solvent paint systems (PPG, Axalta, Sikkens, BASF, or similar)
  • Pride in your work, attention to detail, and the patience to do it right the first time
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in a paint booth environment
  • I-CAR or paint manufacturer certifications a plus
Pay & Benefits
  • Pay on a commissioned hour basis, with a weekly safety net (guaranteed minimum earnings)
  • Compensation reflects experience and production
  • Paid weekly
  • Up to 14 days PTO annually (available after 90 days, prorated in first year)
  • 1 Floating Holiday upon hire
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Voluntary life insurance
  • Short term and long term disability
  • Real career growth in a fast growing company
Our Core Values
  • Culture First Excellence. Trust, transparency, accountability.
  • Continuous Growth & Innovation. Standing still is not an option.
  • Operational Agility. Flow beats hurry.
  • Relentless Quality & Safety. No shortcuts. Ever.
  • Empowered Team Ownership. We rise by lifting each other.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Auto collision paint experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to work in a fast paced shop environment
