Job Description

Saint Luke's South Rehab Institute is seeking a PAI Coordinator.

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week. 8-4:30 M and T. 8-12:00 Wed. No weekends.

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely collection, documentation and transmission of the IRF-PAI document to CMS through the UDS software program. Oversees all aspects of data collection for the IRF-PAI. Ensures supporting documentation of the IRF-PAI is present in the medical record.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the CMS regulations for the IRF-PAI. Collaborates with physicians and coding to support medical necessity. Collaborates with Education Department to ensure therapy, nursing and care progression are educated on IRF-PAI.

  • Continuous monitoring and real time feedback on IRF-PAI documentation entered in medical record by the team.

  • Collaboration with Epic builders to optimize IRF-PAI documentation.

  • Collects and reports on data from UDS as determined by management.

  • Follows and prepares team for CMS updates or changes

  • Participates in quality initiatives.

  • May participate in patient care.

  • Demonstrates leadership and strong communication skills.

  • Required: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or nursing licensure.

  • Travel between entities required.
