QUALIFICATIONS

Must have experience with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC 7711 & IPC 7721

RESPONSIBILITIES

Solder through hole components to printed circuit boards (PCB's).
Solder surface mount components to PCB's.
Solder wires and accomplish Engineering Change Orders on PCB's.
Repair damaged traces on PCB's.
Repair damaged through hole pads on PCB's.
Repair damaged surface mount pads on PCB's.
Repair damaged through holes on PCB's.
Repair damaged internal circuitry on PCB's.
Replace damaged gold contacts.
Repair minor laminate damage to PCB's.
Repair major laminate damage to PCB's .
Repair mask damage on PCB's.
Repair warp damage to PCB's
Repair PCB delamination.
Remove and replace through hole components.
Remove and replace surface mount components.
Operate milling machine for PCB modifications (if designated as a machine operator).
Plate damaged gold contacts.
Observe Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity rules and regulations.
Observe safe handling procedures to prevent further damage to PCB's
Observe proper techniques when processing lead and lead free (RoHS) soldering jobs.

PAD Repair Rework Technician 1st shift $28hr - $30hr DOE (Will be tested)

Reports to the Production Manager
The primary responsibility of the Repair Technician is to perform the physical repair and rework required for each job assigned to them. It is imperative that each technician read and fully understand the work instruction detailed on the Traveler which is included with each and every Sales Order processed. Each technician is responsible for the quality of their workmanship as such they are expected to consistently produce work at the highest level of quality possible. They are also expected to work towards continuous improvement of their individual skill and improve the overall process wherever possible.

Each technician is trained and qualified by company Management. Each technician’s skill level is evaluated and determined individually. In order to provide and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction, quality and performance each technician will be trained and certified to IPC and Company's Standards. For more details relative to required technician training please refer to section 6.2 Training and Competency within the Quality Management System.Work closely with the Sales Manager or appropriate Sales Applications Engineer to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Read and totally understand the work instructions provided in the Traveler which is supplied with every Sales Order or job.
If there is any issues or questions related to work instructions as needed get resolution/guidance from any of the following; Engineering Manager Production Manager, Sales Manager, Sales Applications Engineer, QC Engineer or QC Inspector before processing the job.
Work closely with the QC Inspector to ensure that defined IPC and or Company's procedures are followed and work standards are met.
Each and every service technician is responsible for customer satisfaction, quality and performance excellence, no exceptions.
