Packaging Technician – Weekend Night Shift (D Shift)

Location: Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152

Pay Rate: $18.87/hr
Schedule: Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Overview

This role is responsible for manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products in a regulated manufacturing environment. The position ensures finished goods are packaged according to quality standards, customer requirements, and internal procedures. You will support production through accurate documentation, product inspection, and adherence to safety and compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished products
• Package clinical and commercial products according to established procedures and quality specifications
• Inspect in-process packaging and components to ensure consistent quality standards
• Identify and remove defective products and packaging materials
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including device history records and inventory counts
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to support batch record completion
• Assist with inventory counting activities as needed
• Participate in safety audits and daily safety discussions/observations
• Clean packaging stations and processing equipment on a routine basis
• Follow all PPE requirements and product contamination control procedures (including gowning)
• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with procedures
• Support general manufacturing and production needs as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of industry or manufacturing experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good documentation practices
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Comfortable using computers and basic business software
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including fixed or rotating shifts and overtime as needed
