Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking a Packaging Shift Supervisor for an urgent direct hire opening. This role is responsible for leading daily packaging operations, supporting production schedules, and setting the tone for a safe, productive, and accountable shift.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader with previous people management experience who can proactively support the team, learn scheduling processes, and help drive consistent packaging performance.
Compensation: 70K-80K
Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities within the packaging department to ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are met
Lead, coach, and support packaging team members throughout the shift
Set a positive, professional tone on the floor and help maintain team accountability
Assist with building, learning, and managing shift schedules to support production needs
Monitor workflow, staffing, materials, and equipment needs to help keep operations running efficiently
Communicate priorities, updates, and production issues to team members and management
Identify and resolve issues that may impact output, quality, or safety
Support continuous improvement efforts within the packaging area
Ensure team members follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements
Partner with production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams as needed
Qualifications
Previous people management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, packaging, warehouse, or industrial environment
4+ years of relevant manufacturing, packaging, production, or operations experience preferred
Prior experience leading hourly team members in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to be proactive, organized, and hands-on in supporting daily operations
Experience with production scheduling, shift planning, or workflow coordination is a plus
Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment
Strong attention to safety, quality, and productivity standards
Experience in industrial products, plumbing products, building materials, or related manufacturing environments is helpful
