Summary
  • Operate and tend packaging equipment performing functions such as filling, marking, labelling, tying, packing, or wrapping containers.
  • Execute packaging and labelling activities in accordance with Batch Record requirements and cGMP guidelines, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
  • Provide operational support to Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Facilities while adhering to company and FDA regulatory requirements.
  • The role also includes responsibility for cleaning and sanitization of primary and secondary packaging rooms and equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Follow batch record instructions to execute manual processes for primary and secondary packaging activities.
  • Assist in the operation and setup of automated packaging equipment for designated packaging operations.
  • Support the reconciliation and movement (chain of custody) of materials between packaging areas and the warehouse.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of primary and secondary packaging rooms and packaging equipment in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Report observations or potential issues that may result in deviations or investigations to QA, Team Lead, Equipment Specialist, CPS Project Coordinator, or Manager.
  • Support Equipment Specialists with the execution of qualification protocols for new equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain current training on SOPs, GMP documentation, and logbook entries relevant to job responsibilities.
  • Attend required meetings and discussions to support production schedules and project execution.
  • Participate in applicable safety processes and meetings.
  • Maintain professional, positive, and confidential relationships and comply with all state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Promptly report safety and sustainability concerns and stop work when necessary to ensure safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 1 3 years of experience operating or tending packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with primary and secondary packaging operations
  • Familiarity with automated packaging equipment
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device)
  • Knowledge of equipment qualification activities
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams including QA, Warehouse, and Facilities
  • Ability to follow batch records and execute packaging and labelling processes accurately
  • Working knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate and timely documentation practices
  • Ability to support cleaning and sanitization activities in controlled environments
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to assist with equipment setup and operation
  • Ability to communicate observations and issues clearly to cross-functional teams
