Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator I

Location: Mount Vernon, OH 43050

Duration: Contract-to-Hire (Apr 6, 2026 –Apr 5, 2027)

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour 

Job Description:
Entry-level Packaging Machine Operator to join our Mt. Vernon facility. This role involves operating packaging equipment, maintaining production areas, assisting with preventive maintenance, and supporting team safety and housekeeping programs. This is a contract-to-hire position, with potential for full-time conversion contingent on passing a Work Key evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate bagging equipment and ensure proper packaging of finished goods
  • Spot outbound trucks and ensure dock locks are engaged
  • Reclaim off-quality materials and refeed them to production equipment
  • Perform general cleanup in production areas and break rooms
  • Assist with preventive maintenance as needed
  • Follow safety and housekeeping programs

Skills & Education Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Team player with independent work capability
  • Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
