Introduction
As a key contributor to our team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and improving packaging solutions to ensure safe and efficient transport of components from suppliers to our distribution center and within our facilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
- Experience in supply chain operations, logistics, or manufacturing
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Commanding knowledge of lean principles, distribution or fulfillment processes, logistics business systems
- Knowledge of CAD and technical drawings
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with automation development, robotics, warehouse automation
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work with the Staff Packaging Engineer in process design and standardization of packaging design for all components needed at our manufacturing operations
- Assist in vendor selection and management
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Vehicle engineering team, supplier quality organization, and logistics team to ensure packaging meets internal customer needs
- Assist in developing procedures and processes for packaging validation, continuous improvement, and supplier feedback
- Fully develop and own all aspects of Service Packaging
- Work with Packaging Engineers and Logistics to implement equipment on the floor to support conveyance and hand-off of components to manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve packaging that enhances overall logistics cost performance (Parts quality, transportation, inventory cost)
- Monitor and assist in developing KPIs related to packaging performance
