HOPES has an integrated team model approach to patient care. Part of the Providers responsibility will include participation in organization wide Patient Centered Medical Home activities to enhance patient care Northern Nevada HOPES is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving northern Nevada. **MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:** PA or APRN licensed in the State of Nevada with a specialty in adult primary care. Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and DEA License. Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance. 5+ years of experience as a primary care provider required. Knowledge of the essential functions, practices and procedures of a medical clinic and office. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM coding.and nbsp; Knowledge of and ability to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in Family Practice primary care setting, acting as part of a Care Team. - Knowledge of skills related to the ability to treat patients in an immediate care internal medicine setting (acute illness and injury appropriate for outpatient level of care). Skill in operating personal computer utilizing electronic medical records, word processing, databases and e-mail.and nbsp; Skill in operating various office equipment: calculator, copy/scanning machine, fax machine, and telephone. Skill in operating and interpreting various outpatient medical office equipment. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information, financial information and medical information.and nbsp; Ability to read, write legibly, calculate mathematical figures and medication doses.and nbsp; - Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables as a Care Team member.and nbsp; Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions. Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members in a Care Team structure to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinics and across the HOPES organization.and nbsp; Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.and nbsp; Ability to interview and communicate either in person or with an interpreter with patients in a clinical setting in English. Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, etc. * Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES.
