Position: Full-time Director of Rehab
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)
Experience level: Minimum 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy
Licensure: Must hold a current state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Director of Rehab to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation services and possess excellent leadership skills. The Director of Rehab will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our rehab department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing a team of therapists.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations of the rehab department
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of therapists, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to therapists
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations and standards
- Manage department budget and resources, including equipment and supplies
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as physicians and referral sources, to promote the rehab services offered by the facility
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality of care provided by the rehab department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Current state license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing a team of therapists
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to rehabilitation services
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently and make sound decisions
Please note: This position cannot accept new graduates, COTAs, or PTAs due to the level of experience required. The facility has 119 beds and does not require weekend rotation.
