PDS 2 / Power Delivery SubstationMesa seeks a P&C Engineer I for our Power Delivery Substation engineering design team based out of Chattanooga, TN. The successful candidate has 4‑5 years of experience in substation design at 69 kV to 500 kV. The role involves completing substation P&C design projects to meet client standards and practices, maintaining quality and efficiency while producing deliverables such as single line diagrams, AC & DC elementary/schematic diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable lists, bills of material, and more.Education, Experience, LicensureBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET accredited college or university.Minimum of 4‑5 years of progressively responsible experience in substation P&C design at 69 kV to 500 kV.PE license required.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and complete discipline engineering designs and supporting documentation such as calculations.Coordinate and prepare calculations, specifications, reports, design details, plans, and drawings within assigned task areas.Interface with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects as required.Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget on all assigned projects.Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager.Establish, promote, and assure quality on all project work.Follow up on construction issues with field engineers to resolve problems in a timely manner.Attend group meetings with staff as required.Incorporate safe work practices into all activities.Assist with project execution, work processes, and procedures to continually improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.Use strong verbal and written communication skills with team members and clients.Use interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and clients.Possess knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.Estimate and assist in the preparation of bid packages.Attend scoping meetings as requested for projects.Mentor other designers/engineers in the group to increase knowledge of substation P&C design.Review other personnel work for accuracy and adherence to client/national standards.Identify potential areas of engineering process and/or procedure improvements.#J-18808-Ljbffr
