Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• 15–20+ years in Personal Lines Claims, claims transformation, claims technology, or equivalent combination.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives that improved claims outcomes (cycle time, leakage, compliance, experience).
• Strong experience working within U.S. regulatory frameworks for claims operations; exposure to market conduct, internal audits, and remediation.
• Proven capability translating complex claims processes into technology requirements and operational change.
• Executive-level communication: able to present senior leadership with clear options, risks, and recommendations.
• Guidewire Claim Center exposure (implementation, upgrade, modernization, or operations support)—preferred, not mandatory.
• Certifications: CPCU, AIC, ARM, or relevant US insurance industry certifications.
• Experience with digital FNOL, workflow automation, subrogation, rules engines, fraud analytics, STP, and API-based integration ecosystems.
• Large program experience (multi-state, multi-LOB, multi-vendor).
Roles & Responsibilities
The P&C Claims Industry Expert brings the P&C Claims domain knowledge, Industry trends, strategy, prioritization, automation, process improvements, operation efficiency, AI opportunities, and delivery outcomes for P&C claims transformation journey. This leader bridges Claims, IT, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, and vendor partners to modernize its claims platforms built on Guidewire Claims Center
• Serve as business SME for core claims platforms and digital ecosystem.
• Guidewire Claim Center knowledge (preferred) ; experience with other enterprise claims platforms acceptable.
• Lead business discussion for workflows, rules, integrations (FNOL, estimating, document generation, payments, and communications)
• Partner with Legal/Compliance/Risk to ensure claims processes and systems meet regulatory requirements, market conduct expectations, fair claims handling, and unfair claims practices standards.
• Support the team in defining business objectives , epics/features, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead or oversee UAT, production readiness, defect triage, and post-go-live stabilization.
Ensure third-party solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance expectations and integrate cleanly into the claims ecosystem
