SUPERVISOR:  Director of Operations

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  1. Maintain agency philosophy of “Treating people the way you want to be treated”.

2. Oversees the upkeep of ALPHA through resident participation and advises the Executive Director of repair needs.

3. Responsible for the adherence of ALPHA rules and regulations by the residents.

4. Maintain high confidentiality standards for all information.

5. Account for all visitors; refer those of concern to the Program Supervisor.

6. Assist with transporting of clients as necessary.

7. Maintain current Red Cross First Aid and CPR training.

8. Attending 40 hours in continuing education workshops first year, 20 hours each subsequent year.

9. Spend at least 60 percent of shift interacting with clients in one on one or group activity interactions. (Midnight shifts are not expected to spend 60 percent with residents as they are sleeping)

10. Interact with residents in a professional and positive manner.

11. Write a confidential report each shift for in the residents’ charts in an objective and professional manner.

12.  Attending monthly staff meetings.

13. Advise any resident if she is not caring for her baby properly and try to help her learn the correct way either to care for her baby or feed her baby.  Report any incidents of abuse or neglect to the Executive Director.

14. Clean and prepare rooms for new residents.

15. Assist in chart maintenance.

16. Assist residents in planning and implementation of evening routines for the baby (bathing, reading, snack, etc.)

17. Guide and role model life skills including parenting, conflict resolution, problem solving, time management, and household upkeep.

18. Read resident shift notes and staff log entries daily.

19. Advises relief RSA of responsibilities during previous shift, noting the importance of continuity and maintaining the “status quo” when working with residents.

20. Perform and document hourly room checks.

21. Supervise nightly resident chore responsibilities and sign off on completion.

22. Perform related job duties as assigned including cleaning common areas as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  High school diploma or equivalent.  2 years of employment history, 2 professional and 2 personal references, One-year experience working with social services preferred.  Current Florida Drivers License.  Must be at least 21 years of age.

PREFFERED:  experience working with adolescents/at risk population, self-directed work style with ability to work effectively within a team framework, demonstrated initiative and motivation in managing job responsibilities and continuing education to build expertise, superior communication,  organization and time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure, knowledge of appropriate parenting,conflict resolution, non-violent communication techniques and child development, working knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, vocabulary and of generally accepted office practices, procedures, and equipment.
