The Overnight Front Desk Clerk plays a vital role in supporting both guest services and nightly financial operations. This position is responsible for balancing daily transactions, preparing accounting summary reports, and ensuring a seamless overnight guest experience. Working the overnight shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), this role requires strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Balance daily operational transactions and prepare accounting summary reports
- Complete nightly audit procedures in accordance with established policies
- Check guests in and out efficiently while providing professional and courteous service
- Assist guests with inquiries, phone calls, and reservation support as needed
- Maintain working knowledge of resort amenities, services, and local events
- Complete overnight checklists and ensure a smooth transition to the morning team
- Coordinate with other departments to support seamless guest experiences
- Maintain flexibility to support 24-hour front desk operations, including weekends and holidays
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; hospitality or accounting experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), particularly within a hospitality environment, preferred
- Proficiency with 10-key by touch preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Ability to remain focused in a quiet office environment for extended periods
- Strong verbal communication and guest service skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and use hands and arms for gripping, handling, and reaching
- Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
