Position Overview
Join the Mt. Hood Meadows Public Safety team and help keep one of Oregon's premier mountain destinations safe, secure, and operational through the night. As an Overnight Caretaker, you'll play an essential role in protecting our guests, employees, facilities, and equipment while ensuring the resort is prepared for another day on the mountain. This entry-level position offers a unique blend of security, patrol, and emergency response responsibilities in an unforgettable alpine setting.
Working independently throughout the resort, you'll conduct routine patrols, secure buildings, monitor surveillance and alarm systems, respond to safety concerns, and document incidents and operational issues. From checking doors and completing nightly building procedures to assisting with emergencies and maintaining a visible security presence, your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help create a secure environment for everyone at Mt. Hood Meadows.
We're looking for dependable, self-motivated individuals who thrive in independent roles and remain calm under pressure. The ideal candidate brings integrity, strong communication skills, and a keen sense of awareness, along with the ability to adapt to changing conditions in a dynamic mountain environment. Whether you're interested in building experience in public safety, security, emergency services, or simply enjoy working nights in the outdoors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team at one of the Pacific Northwest's premier resorts.
