What you will do::
  • Drive industry-leading new business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing high-value new customer opportunities across the assigned territory or region.
  • Sell a comprehensive portfolio of exterior building products, including roofing, siding, windows, and waterproofing materials, to contractors, builders, and commercial customers.
  • Consistently exceed sales, margin, and new customer acquisition targets (40+ annually) through disciplined prospecting, strategic account targeting, and expert execution.
  • Develop and execute advanced territory and market strategies that expand market share and establish long-term competitive advantage.
  • Build and sustain executive-level relationships with key customers, influencers, and industry leaders.
  • Lead highly complex sales cycles involving large projects, multi-location customers, and competitive bid environments.
  • Conduct high-impact in-person sales calls, jobsite visits, and customer meetings to uncover needs and deliver differentiated, value-based solutions.
  • Partner closely with branch leadership, operations, supply chain, and customer support to ensure seamless onboarding and successful execution for new customers.
  • Provide thoughtful, structured handoffs of newly secured accounts to Account Executives, ensuring continuity and long-term customer success.
  • Maintain best-in-class CRM hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline visibility.
  • Monitor market conditions, customer trends, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify new growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a mentor, coach, and informal leader to other sales representatives, sharing expertise, best practices, and market insights.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, playbooks, and training initiatives.
  • Continuously deepen product expertise, industry knowledge, and consultative selling capabilities.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned market or region to pursue and close new business opportunities.
What you will bring::
  • 20+ years of successful outside sales or business development experience with a demonstrated record of exceptional performance.
  • Extensive experience in construction, building materials, wholesale distribution, or a closely related industry.
  • Consistent history of securing 40+ new customer wins annually in competitive markets.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong executive presence and credibility with senior-level customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight while influencing outcomes across functions.
  • Advanced communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • High proficiency with CRM platforms, digital sales tools, and mobile technology.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
