We are currently looking for an Outside Sales Manager to join our VALUES based organization. This role combines sales leadership for US Lumber and Millwork Sales within North/Central Florida and South Georgia outside sales teams. This position will have direct revenue/margin responsibility. Seeking candidates with experience with strategic account leadership, sales management, and talent development.

Job Duties and Essential Functions:

Sales Leadership & Coaching

  • Achieve sales and margin targets.
  • Lead, coach, and develop outside sales personnel
  • Ability to drive profitable growth and product mix
  • Recruit, hire, and retain high performing outside sales talent (“A Players”).
  • Execute local pricing strategies
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on market opportunities to increase share and competitive positioning.

Strategic Account & Market Relationships

  • Personally manage and expand key strategic accounts relationships to ensure revenue retention and growth.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with strategic account management teams.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with top 10 strategic accounts.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key vendor partners to drive joint growth initiatives.
  • Oversee all aspects of customer satisfaction, including issue resolution, credits, returns, and service recovery.
  • Implement structured account planning for strategic accounts to ensure long-term growth and retention.

Sales Process & Performance Discipline

  • Actively manage and organize the opportunity pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting and strong close ratios.
  • Establish clear sales goals and performance standards aligned with company objectives.
  • Maintain disciplined execution of sales processes and accountability metrics.
  • Ensure effective utilization of company systems including Agility and Cognos.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management on strategic initiatives, new product rollouts, and company direction.

Culture, Accountability & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Foster a culture of accountability, enthusiasm, professionalism, and continuous improvement aligned with company values.
  • Establish strong communication channels with Operations and Inside Sales to ensure seamless customer execution.

Required credentials:

  • 5+ years of lumber distribution experience preferred
  • Experience managing a 50+M territory/region
  • Prior sales management experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree; previous industry experience will be considered
