Job Summary
We are seeking Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) Inspector to join our team. You are the final line of defense for product quality. This role goes beyond simple inspection; you will take full ownership of the Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) process, from equipment troubleshooting to root-cause investigation. You will be responsible for identifying non-conforming materials, leading factory-wide responses, and ensuring that corrective actions (CAPA) are effectively implemented to prevent recurrence.
Job Description
- Equipment Mastery: Load, operate, and troubleshoot Rudolph AVI equipment and SEMES review stations.
- Precision Inspection: Perform high-level defect classification and manual microscope inspections (Olympus) with extreme attention to detail.
- Incident Leadership: Lead investigations into non-conforming materials, determine root causes, and draft comprehensive summary reports for leadership.
- Quality Accountability: Execute closed-loop verification for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA); manage SPC and AQL decision-making.
- Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for quality escalations within the factory floor.
Skills Required
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a firm understanding of SPC/AQL concepts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/sit for a 12-hour shift and lift to 25 lbs.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, proactive problem-solving, and a high degree of accountability for error-free work.
Preferred Expertise
- Hands-on experience with Rudolph AVI equipment.
- Prior experience with SEMES review stations or Olympus microscope hardware.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Associate’s degree in technical field or Equivalent military experience
Additional Requirements
- Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; Sun, Mon, Tue (Sat)
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Pay rate
- $26 - $30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
