Outbound Freight & Parcel Logistics Coordinator
Location: Georgetown, TX | Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (Mon–Fri) | Type: Temp-to-Hire | Pay: $21.00–$22.00/hour DOE
Step into your day at a growing manufacturer partnered with AtWork Personnel. You’ll open the ERP dashboard, scan outbound orders, line up LTL/FTL pickups, and print parcel labels through FedEx and UPS. Before lunch, you’ve verified customer-specific routing and packaging details, generated packing lists and invoices, and confirmed everything matches the order. By afternoon, you’re tracking deliveries, resolving any carrier issues, and tightening processes to improve on-time performance and reduce freight costs—all while keeping the warehouse orderly and safe.
What you’ll handle
- Schedule and coordinate LTL and FTL freight for on-time, cost-effective delivery.
- Process high-volume parcels via FedEx, UPS, and other carrier platforms.
- Meet all customer routing, labeling, and packaging specifications every time.
- Create packing lists, shipment labels, invoices, and related documents through the ERP.
- Maintain precise shipment records and complete system transactions to keep inventory accurate.
- Stage, verify, and release outbound orders with 100% accuracy.
- Collaborate with carriers, warehouse staff, customer service, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Track shipments and support strong on-time delivery metrics.
- Prepare reports on shipping volume, delivery KPIs, and freight spend.
- Spot and implement process improvements that enhance throughput and efficiency.
- Uphold a clean, organized, and safe workspace while following safety procedures.
What you bring
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years in shipping, logistics, or transportation.
- Hands-on experience with LTL, FTL, and parcel coordination.
- Comfort with FedEx, UPS, and freight carrier tools.
- ERP proficiency; strong Excel and overall computer skills.
- Outstanding organization, communication, and multitasking.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- SAP exposure is a plus.
Physical demands
- On your feet and walking for most of the shift.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Regularly lift up to 35 lbs.
- Comfort operating in a warehouse with variable temperatures and material handling equipment.
