Your Impact & Specialized Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Hand Diagnostics: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the hand and upper extremity, including sensory testing, ROM, and strength.
  • Post-Surgical Protocols: Implement evidence-based recovery plans for tendon repairs, fractures, nerve compressions, and joint replacements.
  • Custom Orthotic Fabrication: Design, fabricate, and fit custom splints to protect healing tissue and maximize functional outcomes.
  • Functional Integration: Bridge the gap between clinical exercises and daily life using our state-of-the-art ADL simulation suite.
  • Interdisciplinary Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for the rehab team on all upper extremity and hand-related rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current, valid California Occupational Therapist (OTR) license.
  • Specialization: Proven experience in Hand Therapy. (CHT certification is a plus, but significant clinical experience in hand specialty is accepted).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in manual therapy, wound care, and custom splinting.
