Jupiter currently has approximately 2200 megawatt-hours in construction or operation and is developing approximately 14 GW of projects over 2025-2030.Position Description OT Field EngineerJob Summary We are seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Field Engineer to support the deployment and operation of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role you will work hands-on in the field to commission, troubleshoot, site communications infrastructure supporting large-scale energy storage assets operating safely, reliably, and in compliance with grid requirements.Key Responsibilities Commission, test, and support operational technology systems for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sitesVerify communications between site equipment, plant controllers, and remote monitoring platformsSupport installation and operation of Cameras, site WiFi, Carrier circuits, and other technologyDiagnose and resolve OT hardware, software, and network issues in live field environmentsSupport OT cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements as applicableCollaborate with the organization's internal construction and operations teams during construction, commissioning, and operations of the BESS sitesSupport of multiple datacenters containing key infrastructure used for remote access, generation management, and other utility specific applicationsMaintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and as-built changes to IFC designsFollow company safety policies and industry best practices when working in high-voltage and utility environmentsPreferred Technical Skills Configuration and troubleshooting of industrial Ethernet networks, switches, routers, firewalls, and VLANsFamiliarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments, including system configuration, user management, and basic troubleshootingExperience with SCADA systems, HMIs, and plant control platformsUnderstanding of OT network architecture and secure system designAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, network diagrams, and control logic documentationFamiliarity with remote access tools, VPNs, and secure site-to-site communicationsBasic knowledge of OT cybersecurity principles and best practicesQualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience working with Operational Technology associated with power, utilities, renewable energy, or heavy industrial environments such as oil and gas production/service supportHands-on experience commissioning or supporting PLC and/or SCADA-based systemsWillingness and ability to travel to project sites and work in outdoor, high-voltage utility environmentsStrong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skillsIn addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus and equity programs.
