Job Summary
According to physician orders assembles and applies different types of casts and various braces.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions
• Assists with transport of patients.
• Performs any variation of the job that is directly related to the function of an orthopedic technician.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
• Assists the orthopedic surgeons requested.
• Participates in Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Indicator (QI) as assigned.
• Performs patient rounds, charting, charging, regular cleaning of equipment and in-service education that is directly related to the orthopedic technician service.
Education/Training
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification
Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Experience
