The facility is a 76-bed, non-profit general acute care hospital that serves as the sole hospital in the county. It provides comprehensive services including a 24-hour emergency department operating as a Level III trauma center, surgical services, maternity care, and local ambulance services.

Red Bluff is a historic, agricultural city in Northern California (pop. ~14,700) situated along the Sacramento River and I-5, known for its Victorian homes, annual rodeo, and as a gateway to Lassen Volcanic National Park. It acts as a Tehama County seat offering a small-town, conservative atmosphere with, warm summers, and abundant outdoor recreation!

The orthopedic surgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour coverage for general orthopedic cases at this Level III trauma center. The clinician will manage emergency department consultations, perform necessary surgical procedures, and provide inpatient care for orthopedic patients. Higher acuity cases requiring specialized care are transferred to facilities to the north. Board certification in orthopedic surgery is mandatory for this locum tenens assignment.
