Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Orthopaedic Surgery provider to cover a temporary assignment starting December 1, 2026. The position involves approximately two weeks of coverage per month, with potential for more sporadic scheduling. The site requires the provider to enroll in the Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) for the state of New Mexico, which the agency will provide coverage for.
The role involves 24-hour beeper call coverage, with no requirement to be onsite during shifts. Shift times are from 7 am to 7 am, with some flexibility. The patient volume at this site is generally lighter, making for a manageable workload.
Requirements:
- Active New Mexico medical license and NM DEA registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
- Must review the attached practice description for required procedures
- Provider will need to undergo hospital privileging and payor credentialing, which may take around 90 days to complete.
- Must have case logs from the past 24 months and submit all documentation promptly to avoid delays.
