The Organizational Outreach Relations Intern supports the coordination and communication efforts for organizations, associations, conferences, and other community partners. This intern role serves as a support to the Salt Lake Temple Celebration Outreach Manager in the Government, Community and Interfaith Relations team, within the Church Communication Department. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Location: Joseph Smith Memorial Building, Salt Lake City, Utah
Length of Internship: 12 months
Basic hours and schedule per week: Tuesday thru Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and 4 additional hours on either Monday or Friday as needed for a total of 28 hours.

Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
- Pursuing or recently completed coursework in communications, public affairs, event management, hospitality, nonprofit management, business, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and event or reservation management tools is a plus.
Group Outreach, Reservation Coordination & Administrative Support
- Support outreach and relationship management with organizations, conferences, travel executives and group leaders, assisting with inquiries and visit coordination.
- Assist with the intake, tracking, scheduling, and communication of group reservation requests, maintaining accurate records and CRM data.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partner sites to support successful group visits, including schedules, logistics, and guest communications.
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, briefing materials, and planning documents to support group engagement and awareness efforts.
- Maintain tracking tools, process documentation, and reporting, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
