Forklift Operator / Order Picker
Location: Liverpool, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.25/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team in Liverpool, NY. This role involves moving and handling building materials, as well as picking orders using a headset system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to safely move, load, and unload building products
- Pick and prepare orders using a voice-directed (headset) system
- Accurately select materials based on customer orders
- Stage, organize, and prepare shipments for delivery or pickup
- Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or building materials environment is a plus
- Comfortable using voice-picking or headset systems (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable with good attendance and work ethic
Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures (indoor and outdoor work)
- Physically active role involving standing, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
