NAPPR is looking for a passionate, driven Oral Health Outreach Coordinator to lead meaningful, community-based oral health initiatives across New Mexico, Southern Colorado, and El Paso, TX. If you love combining public health, education, and hands-on impact, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

You'll be at the heart of improving access to dental care-working alongside tribal and community partners to bring education, prevention, and innovation to communities that need it most.

  • Lead outreach efforts that promote oral health and disease prevention
  • Support dental providers through continuing education facilitation and technical assistance
  • Partner with 22 Tribal and Indian Health Service dental clinics across the region
  • Help design and deliver community trainings (Head Start, WIC, CHRs, and more)
  • Coordinate impactful campaigns like Children's Dental Health Month
  • Create and improve oral health education materials that actually reach people
  • Promote and implement evidence-based practices to expand access to care
  • Conduct oral health screenings and fluoride varnish applications (within scope)
  • Collaborate on regional meetings and trainings for dental professionals
  • Bring fresh ideas-your creativity is encouraged and valued

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, dental hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in oral health promotion or prevention preferred
  • Experience working with Native American communities valued
  • Strong organization skills-you can juggle priorities and get things done
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
  • Tech-savvy (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, web tools)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects
