Job Description:

Oracle Fusion Developer

Location: Houston, Texas (Downtown)

Schedule: M-F 8-5. 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Length: 6+ Month W2 Contract. Can Extend.

Role Overview

The Senior Developer will be primarily responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT applications on the Oracle Fusion platform. This role involves interfacing with clients at all organizational levels, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and delivering productive products for end-users. The position requires hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, including SOA, OSB, Java, and PL/SQL development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planning, development, coding, testing, and migration to production for applications in multiple technical landscapes.
  • Design user flows, platform architecture, software patterns, and data models to support business needs.
  • Adhere to established application standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate with upstream and downstream application teams and infrastructure teams.
  • Troubleshoot and remedy production issues in a timely manner with minimal disruption.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and support scheduled annual tests.
  • Demonstrate strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with Oracle Fusion SOA, OSB, Java language, and PL/SQL programming using Oracle Database, TOAD/SQL Developer, Linux, and Windows operating systems is required. The candidate must have the ability to participate in multiple projects at the same time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Java Application servers such as Oracle WebLogic, Apache, or IBM WebSphere.
  • Familiarity with internet technologies like HTML, XML, WSDL, and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of SDLC activities on development projects.
  • Understanding of Cloud Technology and Solutions.
  • Utility industry knowledge is beneficial.
  • Training or certification on Java Application servers, Cloud Solutions, or Oracle PL/SQL Language.
