Job Description:
We are seeking asenior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)to support and manage enterprise database environments. This role focuses onOracle DBA operations (not development), providing hands-on administration, performance tuning, automation, and high availability support while partnering closely with application teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and tune Oracle databases (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM, ASM, Partitioning)
Provide day-to-day DBA support, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and data integrity
Monitor databases and systems (processes, logs, storage, locks, traces) and proactively resolve issues
Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, replication, and failover (GoldenGate or HVR)
Perform schema management, auditing configuration, and routine maintenance activities
Develop and maintain automation scripts usingShell, Python, and Ansible
Prepare and review operational, performance, and capacity reports; recommend system improvements
Required Skills:
StrongOracle DBA SMEexperience
Linux (mandatory)
Automation/Scripting: Shell, Python, Ansible
Performance tuning and monitoring expertise
Replication, HA/DR, and recovery experience
Nice to Have:
Redis or other NoSQL databases
