Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle DBA to join our IT team. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and consistent performance. This position requires a service-oriented mentality, high sense of ownership, and strong communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database systems (11g/12c/19c/21c).

  • Perform database tuning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.

  • Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Pump.

  • Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with company standards.

  • Implement and maintain database replication, high availability (RAC), and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard).

  • Perform database patching, migration, and upgrades.

  • Work closely with application developers and infrastructure teams to support business solutions.

  • Automate routine tasks and develop scripts for database management.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture, PL/SQL, and SQL.

  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

  • Proficient with Unix/Linux shell scripting.

  • Experience with monitoring and performance tools (OEM, AWR, ADDM).

  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and change management.


Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.

  • Experience with Exadata, ZFS, or other Oracle appliances.

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
