OPTOMETRIST AT MYEYEDR. OPTOMETRY OF NORTH CAROLINA PLLC  

Job Location: Thomasville, North Carolina (Davidson County)  

Days/Hours:Full-time. Employee will be required to work five days a week, with one workday  

being Saturday.  

Job Description:Diagnose, manage, and treat conditions & diseases of the human eye and visual

system in medical optometry and contact lens settings; Examine eyes and visual system, diagnose  
problems or impairments, prescribe correction lenses, and provide treatment; Prescribe therapeutic 

drugs to treat specific eye conditions as needed; Use accepted practices, tools and techniques to  
evaluate patient vision, document findings to patient records, and consult with patients regarding  

current and future requirements associated with their vision care needs; Provide refractive and 

ocular health examinations to adult and pediatric patients; Examine eyes using observation, 

instruments, and pharmaceutical agents to determine visual acuity & perception, focus, and 

coordination, and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities; Provide culturally-sensitive 

services to patients; Coordinate services with the Retail Services department to optimize the Retail  

Services department's revenue; Ensure equipment is working properly by monitoring equipment  

and requesting maintenance when necessary; Train optometric technicians to assist in patient care; 

Provide staff trainings in ocular health and ophthalmic optics; Collaborate with the Director of  

Professional Services to communicate and facilitate the integration of best practices for vision care  

in offices to improve services provided to patients; Manage all aspects of Optometry services at  

assigned office location(s).  

Requires:Doctorate in Optometry from an accredited institution. Current optometry license for  

the state of North Carolina and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled  

substance certificate. National Provider Identification (NPI). Must be willing to work five days per  

week, with one workday being Saturday. Occasional travel to other optometry practices belonging  

to the company is required on an as-needed basis within the state of North Carolina.
