Optometric Technician This is a full-time position following the assigned school districts school year and paid all year round. (Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm) The school year includes all working days for teachers, including remote work days, and is subject to potential modifications throughout the school year. Join Our Team as anOptometric Technician! To support our mission of delivering high‑quality, accessible vision care to patients of all ages. In this role, you will work closely with our Optometrist and Optician to ensure smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient experiences both in office and through community outreach. As an essential member of our vision care team, you will perform preliminary testing, assist with comprehensive exams, support eyewear selection and dispensing, maintain equipment, manage documentation, and help coordinate remote optometry visits. This position is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, patient‑focused, and committed to professional growth. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is mostly sedentary demanding sitting, some walking, lifting, and bending. Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination normally associated with duties in an office setting will be performed on a repetitive basis. This also includes bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking. The ability to distinguish letters and symbols as well as the ability to utilize telephones, computer terminals, fax machines, and copiers is required.
